Knuckleheads - Ridge trail second lookout. Picture taken on Nov 3, 2001 The trail starts at "A branch" near the end of the A900 and runs uphill in the direction of the Thumb. The trail follows the ridge and passes a few small ponds, into an old growth forest. There are three good lookouts on this trail, the first one overlooks the E branch valley, the second one has an panoramic view of the bowl, the Thumb, the Knuckleheads and Vancouver Island on the other side. There is already a foot of snow on the ground along the ridge (~4000 ft. elevation). It is foggy and rainy when we reach the second lookout and we cannot see very far.
