Plutonic Power project is active with R/W construction taking place off 13.5 mile on the Stillwater Mainline (A Branch is 15.5 mile). They will be falling R/W along the Stillwater Mainline this fall.
Access to A & E Branch roads will not be blocked on weekends. The first main work party is planned for the last weekend in September. The plan is to finish the access trails from A Branch Cabin to the new logged area ST-262. Also want to complete the crossing on the Jeff Mah Trail below A-900, timbers are on site.
So if anyone reads this pass this information on and come out and help.

Western Forest Products advised that the scheduled work on the E Branch bridges and road is delayed due to the Forest Industry strike. The manual trail work on the "Jeff Mah Trail" (A-900 to E-400) is being reviewed and may go ahead soon.
The E-100 road brushing to Beta Lake is also delayed.

Logging has started in ST-262, which will provide a new area to ski, snowshoe and snowmobile for next winter. Another section ST-262A will be logged later, TBA. We will try and get some more improvements and water control with help from FIA and Western Forest Products.
There are a few new pictures taken today from the helicopter flight over the area, look in Dipper's Album.

A new road has been constructed by Mark Hassett into ST262 in the A Branch Cabin area. The road from 19 mile to the cabin is supposed to be brushed and minor repairs conducted starting this week. The trail from A900 to E400 will be brushed out under FIA funding, subject to snow conditions. Some damage to the railing happened from shotgun blast and the cabin was left in a mess a few times by partyer's. We are also brushing trails to Pond Peak and from beside the cabin into ST262. So will be going up till the snow fly's, help is wanted so give Dipper a call!!!

The Austrian fellow name Schmonk and fellow climbers explored a number of mountains in the Powell River Area. One year they heard about this place where the loggers were getting snowed in, in the following year they went into this bowl and decided that the Freda Mountain area would be good for developing a downhill ski slope.
